I am currently a PhD fellow at the Norwegian University of Life Sciences and Haukeland University Hospital. My PhD takes a comparative medicine approach to dynamic upper respiratory tract collapse in equines and exercise induced laryngeal obstruction (EILO) in humans.
I studied physiotherapy in London, before studying Veterinary Science at the University of Liverpool and completing a Masters at the University of Edinburgh.
I worked clinically as a veterinary surgeon, setting up the first hemodialysis unit in Scandinavia before returning to academia.
In addition to my research I serve on the universities ethics committee, sit on the board of The society for Doctoral fellows and head the academic committee for Doctoral fellows.
