I have been a Consultant ENT Surgeon for 20 years, specialising in head and neck surgery and with a particular interest in post laryngectomy problems and anterior skull base malignancies.
I am President of the laryngology section of the Royal Society of Medicine and am on the Head and Neck subcommittee of ENT-UK
I teach and lecture nationally and internationally on both open anterior skull base surgery and voice and swallow post laryngectomy.
I have an established national reputation in anterior skull base surgery for malignancy, undertaking over 30 craniofacial resections a year – the largest practice in the UK by some margin.
My research interests are clinical, principally looking at outcomes following head and neck surgery – I have written or co-authored over 80 peer reviewed papers and book chapters.
