Michelle Wyatt is a Consultant Paediatric Otolaryngologist and Head of the Departments of ENT Surgery, Audiology and Cochlear Implantation at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children. She is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the Institute of Child Health, University of London. Miss Wyatt qualified in 1992 from Cambridge University and Guy’s Hospital and was appointed a consultant in 2004 following a Fellowship at Great Ormond Street.

Her practice is purely paediatric and her main interest is in the management of complex airway pathology. She is the ENT surgeon to the Great Ormond Street craniofacial, mucopoly­sacchar­idosis and cystic fibrosis teams.

Miss Wyatt is a member of the Academic Board of the European Society of Paediatric Oto­laryngo­logy and sits on the council of the British Association of Paediatric Otolaryngology and the British Laryngological Association. She has just completed a term as secretary to the Sections of Rhinology and Laryngology at the Royal Society of Medicine and remains on their council. She is a Specialist Advisor to the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence and has been heavily involved with the paediatric guidelines section of the National Tracheostomy Safety Project.

She is a faculty member of the British Paediatric Otolaryngology Course and lectures widely nation­ally and internationally mainly on her subspecialist interests in paediatric airway and craniofacial anomalies.
