Having completed laryngology fellowships in Rouen and London, Kate established the Centre for Airway, Voice and Swallow in Poole. The Centre offers advanced laryngology procedures to NHS patients and has attracted high level funding from the Robert White Legacy Fund enabling the service to develop further. The Centre offers the full range of in--‐office laryngology procedures including vocal cord injections, and transnasal biopsy, balloon dilation and laser treatments. Kate is working with colleagues at the centre to develop more effective and efficient patient pathways for diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of NHS patients with airway, voice and swallow disorders.

Following her fellowship with Prof Marie in Rouen, Kate has worked at introducing techniques of reinnervation into the UK and now provides a service of Bilateral Selective Reinnervation for UK patients. She is on the council of the British Laryngological Association and the scientific council of the European Laryngological Society. She teaches on several international laryngology courses including the Manchester Phonosurgery Course and the Rouen Laryngeal Reinnervation Course.
