Guillermo Campos Colombia

Dr. Campos’ practice is devoted entirely to Laryngology, Phonosurgery and Surgery of the Airway.

He is the Director of the Instituto de Laringología, a private research and teaching institution in Bogotá, and Seconded Staff Member of the Department of Surgery of the Fundación Santa Fe University Hospital, where he is the head of the Reflux Clinic (Interdisciplinary group) and the Safe Airway Program.

Dr. Campos is co-founder and current General Secretary of the Latin American Association of Laryngology and Phonosurgery, Former President and current Treasurer of the International Association of Phonosurgery.

He is a pioneer in a technique to perform close up laryngoscopy in the office, and works extensively in several areas such as high speed laryngoscopy and videokymography, surgery of the voice, endoscopic laryngotracheal reconstruction, the use of lasers in laryngology and airway surgery, evaluation and treatment of reflux disease, chronic cough, and also in refining phonomicrosurgery and laser surgery techniques by means of reproducing the exact conditions of the operating room in the laboratory, with the aid of simulators that he has designed.

He is continuously participating in academic and instructional activities in the field of Laryngology around the world.
