Dr Daniel Novakovic is an Australian Ear, Nose and Throat surgeon with dual fellowship training in Laryngology/Neurolaryngology and Head and Neck oncology. He is Senior Lecturer in the faculty of Medicine and co-director of the newly established Dr Liang Voice Program at University of Sydney. He runs a number of multidisciplinary clinics in Sydney, Australia focusing on voice & swallow, chronic cough and functional rehabilitation of the larynx after cancer treatment. His clinical focus includes development of minimally invasive and office based procedures and he has a keen interest in care of the professional voice, being a former board member of the Australian Voice Association. He currently acts as treasurer of the Laryngological Society of Australasia and is a member of the American Laryngological Society, the European Laryngological Society and the International Association of Phonosurgeons. Dr Novakovic has active research projects on Recurrent Respiratory Papillomatosis (RRP), having established a national reporting system monitoring the incidence of paediatric onset RRP after the national HPV vaccination program. He is the clinical lead of the Bionic Voice Project in Australia and is involved with multiple projects via the University of Sydney Voice Research Laboratory. He is also the director of the only formal laryngology fellowship in Australia. Dr Novakovic is regularly invited as faculty at international scientific meetings and has published numerous journal articles and book chapters in his specialty field.
